Russian Wild Boar (sus scrofa)
Very abundant in La Pampa Province , getting a big tusker is a challenge that every sport hunter should appreciate . Nocturnal and extremely cautious, boars will move on their own, exception made during the mating season , April and May . We hunt these animal both for their tusks and excellent meat. Season is year around with a limit of 2 boars per day . We have 2 hunting options: 1) This hunt is at night over bait from high blind taking advantage of the moonlight , we also , sometimes , stalk them in grain fields . Difficult to tell a boar from a sow at night , the best guideline is to keep in mind that 98 % of the times a boar will be alone when hitting the bait. Very easy , relaxed hunting.
